Hands of Healing

My favorite radio station is "positive and encouraging K-Love." I love feeling not only uplifted but inspired. Someone will share a thought that will make me stop and ponder its meaning in my own life. This one I had heard before and thought was amazing, but it really struck home during this time of my life.
In Adele's song, Hello a line states, "They say that time's supposed to heal ya, But I ain't done much healing." Have you ever noticed that in your own life? Some wounds worsen with time. Some may be forgotten with the passing of time just to resurface again, possibly much worse than they began. So is the old saying,"Time heals all wounds" really true?
The hands of a clock continue to tick. Never pausing a second longer than the duration assigned. Well, there is the famous broken clock. Frozen in time. Stopped at a set hour, minute, and second. Right only twice a day. What of the other 22 hours? A clock stuck in time is unreliable and not fulfilling the measure of it's creation. A life that is stuck in the past isn't completing their purpose and potential either. The clock needs to be fixed and the life needs to be mended.
The hands of Christ are hands of the Master Clocksmith in fixing broken clocks. He takes the clock from the time it broke, and leads it to the time it is. They are also hands of the Master Healer in fixing broken lives. He takes the life from when it stopped and guides it to where it's supposed to be. Time moves on with or without you. Christ aids you to move forward with the passing of time. As hands of a clock turn second to second, the hands of Christ turn Painful to Beautiful. It is not the turn of a clock's hand, but the touch of Christ's hand that heals!
