Reason to Celebrate

Have you ever got in the mindset, a holiday is just another day? The only one that you put effort into remembering is Christmas? I am guilty. I wasn't necessarily looking forward to Easter with any real enthusiasm... until I heard this on the radio, "Without Easter, Christmas would mean nothing. If the tomb wasn't empty, the cradle wouldn't matter. Easter gives Christmas meaning." (K-Love 88.7) The fact that the loving Savior and Redeemer, Jesus the Christ died for me to allow my family and I to rise again as well and live for eternity in peace and love and joy is a reason to remember. A reason to celebrate not only Easter and Christmas but every day! He lived and died and rose again for us. Jesus Christ lived His life to show us the way to heaven. His death, the Atonement, made following that path possible. Christ's resurrection gave it all a reason, a purpose. Remember with a passion and reverence why each day is so worth while, so worth living...

What to do?

In a sticky situation, we need to stick to our decision. We need to make our choice before the need to decide even arrives. Daniel 1:8 says, "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with ...." We should do the same. It is always easier when we are acting off a plan rather than improvising. Choose before hand and follow through. Decide and then do accordingly. Don't start second guessing, because in the moment of the situation your brain isn't the clearest. When you made the decision before hand, you thought things through and were in the right mind. Just go with the decision you already made and know to be right.

All secrets to tell

Hurtful words should be the only thing left unspoken in a marriage. There are many voices in the world. Among them is a voice saying it is alright to keep secrets from your significant other. All those who think it is better to keep their spouse in the dark will find the sun rises on every night. Secrets have a way of being spilled one way or another. Do you really want to risk your spouse's trust by not telling him or her, yourself? Also if you married the person, I hope you feel confident in confiding and expressing your masterpieces and mess-ups.
