Why be a half when you can be a whole?
Relationships deal with individuals while math involves fractions. Problems in one shouldn't be solved with equations of the other. In relationships, "two halves make a whole" equals a fractured person. What happens when you lose your other half? Are you no longer whole?
In a dating guide book called The FrogBuster, it states "When two halves come together, they make a whole, but when two wholes come together, there is eternal light and beauty" (Rasmussen, 31). I like to think of dating or marriage as the icing on the cake. According to the Merriam-Webster definition, 'icing on the cake' means,"Something extra that makes a good thing even better." Cake on its own is whole; however for those who like frosting, it becomes complete with the desired addition. The best part... it doesn't need to be perfect; just make it your own. The greatest fulfillment in life and love isn't perfection. It's completion. Such individuality within unity is where "there is eternal light and beauty."
